Vision Statement:
Bridging survivors, service providers, corporations and
the community, to bring those victimized by all forms of
modern slavery from surviving to thriving.
Mission
Statement:
Bridge to Freedom
Foundation's mission is to ensure that survivors of modern day
slavery are able to build the skills and resources needed to
escape the cycle of modern slavery and abuse while attaining
and achieving lives they choose. BTFF strives to
accomplish this
through targeted and unique
evidence-based programs.
History:
Bridge to Freedom Foundation was founded in December 2008 to
bridge gaps in information and services that hinder the
growth of survivors of modern slavery. BTFF accomplishes
this through research, program development and evaluations,
services, and linking the for-profit, academic, and public
worlds to the anti-slavery movement. Rather than provide
duplicate services, BTFF prides itself on working with those
in the anti-slavery movement to enhance and bridge gaps in
next-step programs for survivors. BTFF's unique and
individual focus seeks to move survivors past the point of
survival and into a place where they can thrive.
BTFF seeks to cooperate with other organizations with
similar goals and to avoid duplication. By linking
survivors with appropriate resources and services, BTFF
helps survivors move into a situation for which they can
thrive.
BTFF, through targeted and unique
programs, combined with its links to the corporate and
community worlds, furthers the personal and professional
development of survivors of modern slavery. This
includes support to develop self confidence,
interviewing skills and language training.
